LAHORE: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has instructed the relevant authorities to ensure the distribution of laptops to deserving students under the ‘CM Punjab Laptop Scheme’ within the next 90 days Total 35,000 Laptop, reported Dadu News.
CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Announces Laptop Scheme for Students.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has set a target to distribute laptops to students within 90 days. Students in Punjab will receive the latest Core i7, 13th-generation laptops. The Chief Minister has also ordered laptops to be given to 2,000 minority students. Maryam Nawaz Sharif has instructed laptops to be provided to the position holders of Matric and FSc exams.
Students who succeed under the Chief Minister’s Laptop Scheme will also be given a Guard of Honor. Laptops will be given to 20,000 university students, 14,000 college students, 4,000 industrial and agricultural students, and 2,000 medical and dental students. 32% of the laptop recipients will be students from South Punjab.
Under the Chief Minister’s Laptop Scheme, 5,000 laptops will be distributed within 30 days, and 35,000 laptops by February 20. Laptops will be given to students in fields like Computer Science, Medical, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, Business, Language, Veterinary, and Agriculture.
30,000 students from government schools and 10,000 from private institutions in Punjab will also receive scholarships. Under the Chief Minister‘s Merit Scholarship Program, 18,000 female students will receive scholarships. Full tuition fees for students will be paid for 4 to 5 years under the Merit Scholarship Program.
A total of 68,329 applications have been received for the Merit Scholarship, with 34,290 applications verified.
