Spider-Man is set to swing back into theaters on July 24, 2026, as announced by Sony on Friday. Tom Holland will reprise his role in the currently untitled Spider-Man 4, with Destin Daniel Cretton on board as director.
Holland last portrayed the web-slinger in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, a multiverse adventure that raked in $1.916 billion globally, overcoming the challenges posed by the pandemic. He has previously starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and has also appeared in Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

Holland is set to begin filming the new Spider-Man next year, which promises to be a hectic time for him. In addition to his web-slinging duties, he will also shoot Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film and may take on a role in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday.
No Way Home concluded with the world forgetting that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, including even his closest friends. The writers of No Way Home, Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, are returning for the new installment.
Sony holds the film rights to the character, while Disney-owned Marvel Studios produces the films in collaboration with Sony, thanks to a landmark partnership established in 2015 that brought Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Holland will be in the spotlight during the summer of 2026. Just a week before Spider-Man 4 debuts, he’ll appear in Nolan’s film, which hits theaters on July 17, 2026. Additionally, if he participates in Doomsday, that film is set to release on May 1, 2026.
